'A Better Life' Sparks New Immigration Debate In Los Angeles
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — The innovative film "A Better Life" is sparking a new debate about illegal immigration in Los Angeles.
The movie premiered at the Los Angeles Film Festival on June 19. 'A Better Life' is about first generation immigrants living in Los Angeles. The film details an undocumented father's struggle to build a better life for his teenage son who is a United States citizen.
'A Better Life' is produced by Jami Gertz and Stacey Lubliner.
"They want their kids to do better than they did. They want their kids to be more successful," said Gertz.
The movie was filmed throughout Los Angeles over 40 days.
