Authorities Identify 91-Year-Old Woman Killed In Fire At Senior Living Facility
PACOIMA (CBS) — A 91-year-old woman who died in a fire on Christmas Day has been identified, a city fire official reported.
The fire ignited Sunday morning at Pledgerville Senior Citizen Villa at 11060 N. Norris Avenue, according to Matt Spence of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Spence said investigators believe Dorie Feliz Pozas' clothing brushed up against a candle and caught fire.
A visitor noticed smoke seeping from the woman's front door. They found her body badly burned, her clothes still smoldering.
The incident was deemed an accident and an investigation was ongoing.
