91 Freeway Reopened After Power Lines Downed In Anaheim Brush Fire

ANAHEIM (CBSLA.com) — A brush fire Wednesday that involved downed power lines forced the shutdown of the Riverside (91) Freeway in both directions at Raymond Avenue, authorities said.

California Highway Patrol officers closed the freeway shortly before 1 p.m. near the city border of Anaheim and Fullerton because of the power line hazard, CHP Officer Denise Quesada said.

The westbound lanes on the Riverside (91) Freeway were reopened around 2 p.m, while two of five eastbound lanes were reopened at Lemon Street, according to authorities. The Lemon offramp remained closed as of 2:45 p.m.

A nearby mobile home park was also cleared for residents to re-enter, officials said.

There were no immediate reports of injuries, Quesada said.
