SB I-405 Reopens After 11 Injured In Van Nuys Multi-Vehicle Crash
VAN NUYS (CBSLA.com) — All southbound lanes of Interstate 405 were reopened Wednesday following a multi-vehicle crash in the San Fernando Valley.
The accident, which involved a food truck and several other cars, was reported at 9:31 a.m. at the 405 and Sherman Way, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
All southbound lanes were shut down until 11:55 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol. The number one lane on the northbound side was also closed for about an hour.

Authorities say 11 people were injured and nine were transported, including five trauma patients.
"The food truck was coming down the road about as fast as I could imagine and just lost control and that's when it all happened," said David Dragonetti, one of the two victims who was not transported. "It happened really quick; I didn't really see other than the car coming right at me, glass going everywhere and airbags deploying. I was very lucky to walk away, I could tell you that."
