Power Restored To 6K In Hermosa Beach
HERMOSA BEACH (CBSLA.com) — Power has been restored more than 6,100 customers in Hermosa Beach after parrots on an overhead line caused an outage Sunday.
Southern California Edison spokesman Paul Netter said the outage began at 3:56 p.m.
The utility said on its Twitter feed about 7,300 people were affected.
The outage area is bordered by Eighth Street to the south, The Strand to the east, Beryl Street to the north and Pacific Coast Highway to the west, Netter said.
Crews are testing the lines to limit the number of customers impacted, according to the SCE.
It was unclear when power would be fully restored.
A map of current outages can be viewed on the Southern California Edison website.
