70-Year-Old Woman, Son Arrested In Lancaster Drug Bust
LANCASTER (CBSLA.com) — A 70-year-old woman and her son, along with an underage girl, were arrested Wednesday in a drug bust at the older woman's Lancaster home.
Sheriff's deputies raided the residence in the 3200 block of West Avenue L-8 after people reportedly complained about drug sales in the area, according to Deputy Michael Rust of the Lancaster Sheriff's Station.
Police seized methamphetamine, tar heroin and other prescription drugs from the home, which is located near a school.
Katherine Hales faces multiple narcotics-related charges, including maintaining a home for drug use.
Hales' 43-year-old son, Daniel, also faces narcotics charges.
A 17-year-old girl was taken into custody on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance, but was later released to her parents.
