70-Year-Old Burbank Man Arrested In His Wife's Murder
BURBANK (AP) — Authorities say a 70-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly killing his wife in their Burbank home.
Police Sgt. Robert Quesada told the Daily News of Los Angeles that paramedics were called about a medical emergency on Tuesday and found 65-year-old Marie Brancato dead.
He says she had a traumatic injury to the back of her head.
Joseph Robert Brancato was booked for investigation of murder and was held on $1 million bail.
No attorney was listed for Brancato on public jail documents.
Quesada says investigators believe Brancato hit his wife during an argument, although it was unclear what the argument was about.
He says the couple had a history of domestic violence and police had been called to the house other times through the years.
