7 Injured In Rollover Crash On 210 Freeway

IRWINDALE (CBS) — Seven people, including two children, were injured when an SUV went off a freeway in Irwindale, a county fire official said.

The solo vehicle crash was reported at 9:37 p.m. Saturday on the eastbound Foothill (210) Freeway west of Irwindale Avenue, Capt. Frank Reynoso of the Los Angeles County Fire Department said.

The SUV came to rest on Metrolink tracks just outside the Miller Brewing Plant, he said.

Two children were ejected from the vehicle and were taken by helicopter to Childrens Hospital Los Angeles with major injuries, he said.

A 30-year-old woman, 11-year-old boy and three other victims were transported to County USC Medical Center by ground ambulances, Reynoso said.

The tracks were cleared for train traffic just before 11 p.m., California Highway Patrol Officer Patrick Kimball said.

The cause of the crash was under investigation.
