60-year-old woman dies after getting hit by car in Murrieta
A 60-year-old woman was struck by a car and killed while walking on a street in Murrieta earlier this week.
It happened on Wednesday at around 6:30 p.m. on Murrieta Hot Springs Road near Calle Del Lago, according to the Murrieta Police Department.
The driver who hit the woman remained at the scene and was questioned by investigators. They did not show any signs of impairment, police said.
The victim has since been identified as Debbie Aponte.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
