60-year-old man riding scooter dies after crash with hit-and-run driver in South LA
The search for a hit-and-run driver is underway after they fled the scene of a crash that left a 60-year-old man riding a scooter dead in South Los Angeles.
It happened at around 1 a.m. in the 100 block of E. Manchester Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Investigators say that a car traveling westbound on Manchester hit the scooter rider as he was heading in the same direction.
Paramedics declared the victim, only identified as a 60-year-old man, dead at the scene.
There was no information on a suspect or vehicle involved in the crash.
