The partial shutdown through 5 a.m. Monday will affect three westbound lanes of the thoroughfare between Nogales Street and Fullerton Road and on-ramps in and around the area.
The Nogales Street and Fullerton Road off-ramps are also closed along with northbound SR-57 to westbound SR-60 connector, according to Caltrans.
Caltrans says a full freeway closure is expected Monday from 1 a.m. to 5 a.m. to allow for K-rail installation.
The 55-hour lane closures, dubbed by Caltrans as "Summer Slam," are part of a $120 million freeway rehabilitation project.
The next closure is slated for July 26. For more information, click here.
