6 Rescued From Capsized Boat Near San Pedro's Cabrillo Beach
SAN PEDRO (CBSLA.com) — Authorities Sunday rescued six people from the water near San Pedro's historic Cabrillo Beach after their boat capsized.
Erik Scott, a spokesperson with the Los Angeles Fire Department, says firefighters responded to the sinking vessel about 7:03 a.m.
The U.S. Coast Guard says the boat ran aground and hit the break wall rocks.
No hospital transports were required. Scott said the boaters appeared to be uninjured.
The cause of the capsize was not immediately known but Scott said the boat possibly had too many people aboard.
