6 Children Hospitalized After Car Crashes Into Them Outside Elementary School

DEL MAR (CBSLA.com)   —  Six elementary school students in the Del Mar area of San Diego county have been hospitalized following reports of a driver slamming into them.

A fire department spokesperson says the driver drifted onto the curb in front of Del Mar Heights Elementary.

At least three of the children suffered what was described as "traumatic injuries."

Investigators are trying to determine the cause of the crash.
