55-Year-Old Irvine Man Killed In 5 Freeway Crash
SANTA ANA (CBS) — An Irvine man was killed Sunday afternoon when he crashed his gray, compact sedan into the center divider on the Santa Ana (5) Freeway near downtown Santa Ana, the California Highway Patrol said.
The crash was reported at about 4 p.m. on the freeway just north of East First Street, according to a CHP statement.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Orange County coroner identified him as 55-year-old Stanley Dunsford.
An autopsy was pending.
