50-Acre Brush Fire Burning Near Hemet Fully Contained
HEMET (CBSLA.com) — A 50-acre brush fire burning south of Hemet has been fully contained, according to authorities.
The fire was about 5-10 acres just after 5:40 p.m. About a half hour later it had grown to about 25 acres.
At 8 p.m. the blaze reached about 50 acres but firefighters said they had it fully contained.
Firefighters planned on staying at the location throughout the night to make sure there are no flare-ups.
Full control is expected by 2 p.m. Sunday.
No injuries have been reported. No evacuations were ordered.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
