5 Vehicles Destroyed In Downey Carport Fire
DOWNEY (CBSLA.com) — A two-alarm fire Tuesday destroyed five cars and damaged an apartment complex in Downey.
The fire was reported around 1:30 a.m. in the 8800 block of Pico Vista Road, just off Telegraph Road, officials said.
Investigators said the fire started in the complex's carport, but its cause was unknown.
It took 30 firefighters about 15 minutes to knock down the blaze.
