Pursuit Of DUI Suspect Injures 7 In Northridge
NORTHRIDGE (AP) — Police say a driver believed to be under the influence of drugs led officers on a pursuit that ended in a multi-vehicle crash in the Northridge area of Los Angeles, leaving the suspect and several others hurt.
Los Angeles police Lt. Mike Oppelt tells Fox 11 that the suspect's vehicle slammed into two stopped cars Friday night on Nordhoff Street in Northridge. One of the stopped cars then smashed into a third vehicle.

Oppelt says the suspect was taken to a hospital in critical condition. He says a husband and wife in a Mercedes suffered serious back and neck injuries. Five others received minor injuries.
