5 Bats Test Positive For Rabies In San Bernardino County
SAN BERNARDINO (CBS) — Five bats have tested positive for rabies in San Bernardino County over the past several weeks.
Officials are looking for a man who dropped off a rabid bat at the Health Department in Chino on Monday.
Authorities say he may have been exposed to the deadly disease and are warning residents to take extra safety precautions.
Health officials say you should never touch a dead animal. It's also wise to stay away from unfamiliar pets or stray dogs and cats.
If you are pet owner, you should make sure your dog or cat has been vaccinated for rabies.
