405 Freeway Closures Slated For Tuesday, Wednesday Nights In Sepulveda Pass

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The southbound 405 Freeway will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday nights from the 101 Freeway to Getty Center Drive so crews can install girders for the Skirball Bridge in the Sepulveda Pass.

Freeway ramps in the area will begin closing as early as 7 p.m. Tuesday, with some lane closures beginning around 10 p.m., according to Metro, which is overseeing the construction project. The full freeway closure is expected to last from midnight to about 5 a.m.

The northbound San Diego Freeway will be closed during the same times in the area on Thursday and Friday nights, although the Friday night closure will last from 1 a.m. to 6 a.m.

The Skirball Bridge will be closed all four nights from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Sepulveda Boulevard will remain open, and access will be maintained for emergency vehicles, according to Metro.
