4 Must Watch College Games This Weekend
It's Week 4 of the college football season and one by one teams are dropping like flies. Last week it was No. 9 USC, the week before that it was No. 8 Ohio State and opening weekend it was No. 9 South Carolina. With a new playoff format beginning this year, one loss almost puts you out of contention for a berth. With each game holding more stock because of the new format, there are no "easy" games or "record boosters." Week 4 has some tough matchups that could have a big impact on the playoff format and bowl placement. Let's take a look at the four must watch college games this weekend.
4. Iowa at Pittsburgh
The Iowa Hawkeyes come into the game at 2-1 after beating Iowa State. The Pittsburgh Panthers are 3-0 but haven't really been tested this season. If Pitt wins, they could be potentially 5-0 heading into ACC play. If the Hawkeyes win, they could be 3-1 before they begin their Big 10 schedule. A big game for both teams involved.
3. Mississippi State at No. 8 LSU
In a battle of two unbeaten's, Mississippi State travels to the bayou and take on LSU to open up SEC play for both teams. 8 SEC teams are ranked and in what is a staked conference, the Bulldogs really need to pull out a win on the road for a chance at a bowl game and Les Miles isn't going to make it easy.
2. No. 5 Auburn at No. 20 Kansas State
The Auburn Tigers are traveling to Manhattan, KS tonight to take on the Wildcats in what is a highly anticipated matchup of two teams that are 2-0. The winner is sure to move up in the rankings after tonight.
1. No. 22 Clemson at No. 1 Florida State
The No. 22 ranked Tigers travel to Tallahassee and take on the Seminoles, who will be playing without Heisman winner Jameis Winston for a half. The Seminoles ranking is on the line and Clemson is trying to make a case for a playoff berth.
