33 Charged For Blocking Immigration Protests

LOS ANGELES (CBS/AP) -- Dozens of protesters behind the demonstrations against the controversial Arizona immigration crackdown which blocked traffic earlier this year have been charged with misdemeanor crimes.
The Los Angeles city attorney's office announced Tuesday the protesters were
charged with remaining at an unlawful assembly, resisting, delaying
or obstructing an officer and blocking the sidewalk or street.
The demonstrators could face up to a year in jail and a $1,000

The protesters locked themselves together and blocked traffic
during three May and July protests against Arizona's new

Police had to saw through their bonds to remove the
