3-Time NBA All-Star Allegedly Caught With Truckload Of Illegal Fireworks
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A three-time NBA All-Star was arrested Thursday morning for allegedly possessing illegal fireworks in his vehicle.
Gilbert Arenas, 32, was initially pulled over by police around 4:20 a.m. in Sherman Oaks for speeding in a 65 mile per hour zone.
The California Highway Patrol said that's when the officer noticed boxes of fireworks in the passenger seat and in the back of his pickup truck.
Arenas was arrested and booked for possession of fireworks within city limits. He was released from Van Nuys Jail after posting $100 bail.
Three years ago, Arenas was suspended from the Washington Wizards after revealing he'd been keeping guns in his locker.
