3 Kids Whose Mother Found Dead 10 Days Ago Are Located In New Mexico
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — After an urgent search that covered several states, authorities have found three young children whose mother was found dead in Lebec 10 days ago.
Ryle Watkins, 5, Brayden Watkins, 3, and Joslynn Watkins, 2, were found safe Wednesday at a motel in Albuquerque.
Their mother, Kimiberly Harvill, was found dead Aug. 14 along Gorman Post Road in northern Los Angeles County. She had suffered severe head trauma.
According to homicide detectives, a warrant has been issued for the arrest of the victim's half-sister, Brittany Humphrey, and Joshua Aaron Robertson. Investigators believed the children may have been in the custody of the Humphrey and Robertson.
Robertson, 27, has a criminal history and is on probation. He should be considered armed and dangerous.
Humphrey and Robertson may be driving a green 1999 Ford Expedition, which may have a California license plate that reads 7BEK024 or paper plates.
The back of the vehicle has two stickers. One reads "R.I.P. Chad Watkins" and another that displays a six-person family.
The vehicle also has camouflage duct tape on the base of the car.
It remains unclear if the vehicle belonged to Harvill.
Officials believe Humphrey and Robertson may have traveled through Arizona and New Mexico.
Detectives described Robertson as a Caucasian man who has blonde hair, blue eyes, stands 6-foot-2, weighs 170 pounds and has tattoos on his right arm.
Humphrey is a Caucasian woman who has blonde hair, blue eyes, stands 5-foot-2 and weighs 120 pounds.
Anyone who may encounter Robertson and Humphrey should immediately dial 911.
