3 Arrested, $1.5 M In Marijuana Seized At Moreno Valley Home
INDUSTRY (CBSLA.com) — Officials in Moreno Valley say three people were arrested and $1.5 million in pot was seized in a home grow operation in Industry.
Special Assignment Deputies from Industry Sheriff's Station of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, accompanied by detectives from a US Marshals Fugitive Task Force, arrested three suspects for cultivation of marijuana for sales on Thursday.
The arrests were made in a house on the 16400 block of Quarter Horse Road.
Deputies also recovered 417 marijuana plants -- in various stages of growth -- worth over $1.5 million. Authorities said they also confiscated $100,000 worth of hydroponic equipment used to cultivate the plants.
During a surveillance operation, deputies saw a suspect, Luc An, 43, exiting a residence on Quarter Horse Road accompanied by two other men.
Deputies contacted and arrested An, for a parole violation and cultivation for sales of marijuana. After confirming he lived at the residence, deputies conducted a search of the home and discovered a large marijuana grow operation.
Officials also arrested the two additional suspects; Eddie Tran, 21, and Johnny Yuen, 22, both of the San Gabriel Valley.
All three suspects were transported to Industry Sheriff's Station where Yeun and Tran are being held on $50, 000 bail. An is being held without bail.
