3 Armed Men Take Security Guard's Gun Before Robbing Liquor Store
WILMINGTON (CBSLA.com) — Police are on the hunt for three armed robbers who held up a Wilmington liquor store Friday night.
The incident, which was caught on surveillance video, happened around 7:10 p.m. at the store in the 1200 block of Pacific Coast Highway.
Authorities said the suspects entered the shop, immediately took a security guard's gun, forced him to the floor, and left with a bag full of money.
The guard and the store employees were not hurt.
It's unclear if the men left the store in a car or on foot as detectives have few leads on the case, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Officials described the first suspect as a 20- to 25-year-old black man, about 5 feet 6 inches tall and 140 pounds. He was wearing a blue and white hoodie with blue sweatpants, gray shoes and black gloves.
The second suspect is described as a black man in his early 20s, 5 feet 6 inches tall and 150 pounds. He was wearing a gray "Hollister" hoodie with gray sweatpants, black and white shoes and blue gloves.
The third suspect is described as a black man, 5 feet 6 inches tall and 150 pounds. He was wearing a black hoodie with black sweatpants and a black headband.
