3-Alarm Fire Breaks Out In El Monte Strip Mall, Causing Partial Collapse
EL MONTE (CBSLA) — A three-alarm fire broke out in an El Monte strip mall Thursday night, causing the building to partially collapse.
Eighty firefighters were dispatched to the 10100 block of East Valley Boulevard, near Baldwin Avenue, at about 8:10 p.m. according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
Fire crews continued to battle the blaze at 10 p.m., but no injuries had been reported.
