3.0-Magnitude Quake Recorded Near Salton Sea
NEAR SALTON SEA (CBSLA.com) — A quake measuring a magnitude 3.0 struck near the Salton Sea.
The U.S. Geological Survey says the temblor hit about 8:34 a.m. Sunday.
Its epicenter was located near the San Andreas Fault.
According to the USGS, it was recorded about six miles east-northeast of Mecca and 13 miles east-southeast of Coachella.
There were no early reports of damage or injuries.
