2nd Suspect Arrested In Murder Of Man Found In Burning SUV
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Investigators with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide Bureau have announced the arrest of a second suspect in the murder of a man whose body was found in a burning SUV in Rancho Palos Verdes last month.
Investigators Wednesday said they arrested Jose Angel Martinez, 18, of Compton.
Long Beach resident Christopher Waters, 42, was found in a burning vehicle on April 23, in the 30100 block of Miraleste Drive. Waters was found with his feet bound and a cord around his neck.
Martinez was transported to Lakewood Sheriff's Station and booked for murder. He is currently being held in lieu of $ 1 million bail.
His next court date is May 10, 2013 at Long Beach Court.
An unidentified 17-year-old turned himself into authorities on April 27. He is being held at a juvenile facility.
