25-Year-Old Woman Killed In Downey Hit-And-Run Crash
DOWNEY (AP) — Authorities are searching for a hit-and-run driver whose truck fatally struck a motorist at a traffic light in Downey.
Downey police Sgt. Terry Goeckner says a 26-year-old woman driving a Honda Civic was killed in the collision late Saturday. A passenger in the Civic, a 25-year-old woman, is in critical condition.
Goeckner says a Toyota Tacoma crashed into the Civic on Firestone Boulevard near Lakewood Boulevard.
The driver of the Tacoma ran away from the scene. He has been identified as a 26-year-old Downey man.
