20 Homes Without Water After Utility Pipe Breaks In Hollywood
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Twenty homes were without water Thursday morning after a broken utility pipe flooded a Hollywood street, authorities said.
Flooding on Lillian Way at Waring Avenue, which was reported at 2:15 a.m, caused the pavement to buckle.
Police closed Lillian between Waring and Melrose and city firefighters and Department of Water and Power workers shut the flow off around 4 a.m.
There was no estimated timetable for restoring service to the homes without water, MaryAnne Pierson of the Department of Water and Power said.
