2 Women Hospitalized After Long Beach Hit-And-Run
LONG BEACH (CBS) — Two women have been hospitalized after being struck by a hit-and-run driver as they crossed the Pacific Coast Highway in Long Beach.
The accident east of Loma Avenue was reported about 9:30 p.m. Friday, according to Long Beach police Sgt. Rico Fernandez.
The driver of a dark-colored Lexus is still at large.
According to Fernandez, the vehicle was traveling east and its windshield is believed to have been shattered.
One of the victims was said to be in critical condition. The condition of the second victim was unavailable.
According to authorities, the women were not in a crosswalk at the time of the crash.
No other information was immediately available.
