2 Schools Locked Down After Shooting In Panorama City
PANORAMA CITY (CBS) — Two schools were placed on lockdown Thursday after a person was shot nearby in Panorama City.
The shooting was reported about 9:30 a.m. in the 14900 block of Roscoe Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department reported.
As a precaution, Vista Middle School and Noble Elementary were placed on lockdown, said Monica Carazo of the Los Angeles Unified School District. The lockdowns were lifted at Vista and Noble just after 11:30 a.m.
Authorities said there was no involvement between the schools and the shooting.
Both schools were taken off lockdown by 2 p.m.
