2 Robbery Suspects Released After Witnesses Fail To Identify Them
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Two suspects arrested in connection with an armed holdup at a Koreatown jewelry store were released Wednesday after witnesses could not positively identify them as the robbers, police said.
The robbery occurred in the 900 block of South Western Avenue, one block north of Olympic Boulevard. Shortly afterward, police arrested two men near Alvarado and Eighth streets about 11 a.m.
When the men were shown to the witnesses, they could not say for sure they were the robbers and were released, said Los Angeles Police Department Officer Karen Rayner.
