2 Stabbed Inside South Bay Galleria
REDONDO BEACH (CBSLA.com) — Two people have been stabbed inside the South Bay Galleria in Redondo Beach.
Louisa Hodge, reporting for CBS2 and KCAL9, says that police are not letting anyone into the mall near Artesia and Hawthorne Boulevards while they conduct their investigation.
She says the victims were stabbed inside the mall just after 7:20 Saturday evening.
Hodge said police arrived and found two stabbing victims on the mall's third floor, near the movie theater. The victims were reportedly both teens.
Moviegoer Stephanie Scott said, "They had us all exiting in a single line. There was police caution tape all over." Her husband Tim Scott said, "In the parking garage, they were stopping every vehicle and shining flash lights in the back seat. They were opening trunks. Checking everyone that was leaving the parking garage."
Officials continue to look for a suspect but they said the description was sketchy as are details surrounding the stabbings.
Both victims were transported to an area hospital. One of those victims was reportedly "in surgery" when Hodge filed her live report for the KCAL9 News at 10 p.m.
