1 Dead, 1 Wounded In Shooting Outside Church In South Los Angeles
SOUTH LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Two people were reportedly shot, one fatally, outside a church in South Los Angeles Wednesday evening.
The shooting occurred just before 7 p.m. in the 8800 block of S. Vermont, according to officials.
Both victims were transported to Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, said Stu Mundel reporting in Sky9.
One of the men was declared dead. The condition of the other victim is unknown.
LA County Fire told KCAL9 that Bible study classes were going on at the time of the shooting.
The church has been identified as the 88th Street Temple Church of God in Christ.
A representative of the church later told KCAL9 that the victims had no affiliation with the church.
