LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Two men pleaded not guilty Monday in the beating death of a Redondo Beach bouncer.
Francisco Cobarruvias, 35, and Rene Anthony Avina, 23, are accused of kicking and punching 49-year-old Terie Colecchi on June 2 when he denied them entrance to Pats II Cocktails on Pacific Coast Highway.
Cobarruvias, who had been on the run with his two children, surrendered to police on June 7. He showed up unannounced at the Redondo Beach Police Department with an attorney and was booked on suspicion of murder.
Avina surrendered to Redondo Beach police with the help of his attorney, Christopher Glew, on June 13.
Cobarruvias is being held on $2 million bail, while Avina's bail is set at $1 million.
