LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Police on Tuesday asked the public for help to in finding two men involved in the sexual assault of a woman in the Fashion District in downtown Los Angeles.

The assault occurred in the early morning of July 16 near Olympic Boulevard and Main Street, said Los Angeles police Lt. Paul Vernon.

KNX 1070's Ed Mertz reports the 18-year-old married woman was walking under the California Mart pedestrian bridge on Olympic near Main on her way to work when she was accosted by a man with long hair who sexually assaulted her.

"He threw her down on her face, jumped on her back, and started to disrobe her and to violate her," said Vernon.

A second man acted as a lookout and is wanted as an accessory to the crime, Vernon said.

Vernon believes the man standing guard -- described as Latino, 18 to 20 years old, 5 feet 9 inches tall, 160 pounds, with a full right-cheek tattoo -- could be the key to solving the crime.

Police released composite drawings of the suspects and urged anyone knowing about the case to call detectives at (213) 972-1235 or (800) 222-TIPS.
