2 Men Killed In Separate Car-To-Car Shootings
POMONA (CBSLA.com) — Police are investigating Monday the death of two men who were killed following two separate car-to-car shootings in Pomona.
Officers responded to a "shots heard" call around 8:55 p.m. Sunday in the 2300 block of Farringdon Avenue.
Steven Anthony Vickers, 52, was found shot in the driveway of a residence and was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to police.
Less than an hour later, the Pomona Police Department responded to another call at Towne and San Bernardino Avenues, about five miles from the first shooting. Terrell Chavez Redic, a 44-year-old Rancho Cucamonga resident, was found near a vehicle suffering from several gunshot wounds.
Los Angeles County Fire officials administered first aid to the victim, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
It is unclear if they shootings were related.
