2 Men, 9-Year-Old Boy Killed In Shooting Outside San Bernardino Liquor Store
SAN BERNARDINO (CBSLA.com) — Police in San Bernardino are searching for a gunman who opened fire outside a liquor store Friday night, killing two men and a boy.
Two of the dead were identified Saturday morning as father and son Travon Williams, 26, and Travon Williams, Jr., 9. The boy was set to turn 10 years old on Saturday, his family said. The third victim was identified as Samathy Mahan, 25.
Police said Mahan was believed to have been the intended target of the attack.
The three victims were walking through the front door of Superior Liquor at 2950 Del Rosa Ave at around 9 p.m. when they were ambushed by a gunman, police said.
One man and the child were taken to a hospital, where they succumbed to their injuries. Another man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The suspect ran south on Del Rosa and escaped, police told the San Bernardino Sun.
Police released surveillance camera photos of the suspect Saturday morning.
San Bernardino has seen a sharp uptick in homicides this year, angering and frustrating many residents.
