2 Locals Named Finalists For Doritos' Crash The Super Bowl Contest
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — It's that time of year again -- where America votes for which Doritos' Crash the Super Bowl Ad will air during Super Bowl 50 on CBS.
This year, two of the three finalists are from the Southland and now they're vying for a shot at $1 million.
Jacob Chase, a Burbank local, made the Doritos dogs commercial with his rescue dog. (WATCH HERE)
He says the inspiration came from always seeing dogs tied up outside of grocery stores, waiting for their owners.
"These dogs are willing to do anything to get those Doritos," Chase said of his commercial.
Chase works as a writer in the film industry, and has always wanted to be a director.
He says his biggest challenge making this commercial was not playing with the dogs.

"I wanted to come up with an idea that was really fun and really relevent," Rudy said.
An idea he says came from talking to friends at a party who shared stories about online dating and dating apps.
Rudy says this is also his first time producing a commercial, as a talent manager he says he's not used to coordinating shoots.
"The biggest challenge was getting 11 actors, a crew, a location all in and out in a time period," Rudy said.
The third finalist is from Australia and the three of them will be flown up to San Francisco for Super Bowl 50 on CBS.
Whichever one of them wins the contest will not only be the last winner of the Doritos Crash the Super Bowl campaign, but he will walk away with $1 million.
The other two finalists who do not win will each receive $100,000.
"I've honestly already feel like I've won to a certain extent," Chase added.
