RIVERSIDE (CBSLA.com) — A male hit-run-suspect turned himself into his parole officer Monday after a fatal crash that killed two people in Riverside.

The driver was identified as 21-year-old Alex Ralph Garcia. Garcia, who is out on parole, fled the scene of the accident on foot before turning himself in to police. Witnesses said Garcia, driving a Chevy Avalanche, ran a red light and collided with a Saturn sedan that was traveling westbound on 14th Street. The Avalanche was captured speeding towards the intersection by a neighbor's security camera.
