2 Injured, Suspects Sought In South LA Shooting

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Police on Wednesday identified a pair of suspects in a South Los Angeles shooting that left two people hospitalized, including one victim in serious condition.

On January 2, 2012, around 10:25 a.m., Antwuan Marquis Giddens, 26, and Ashlee Noel Beidleman, 25, exited a local business and approached the two victims who were seated in a small passenger vehicle in the 1500 block of South La Cienega Boulevard, according to the LAPD Wilshire Division.

After striking up a brief conversation with the car's occupants, Giddens pulled out a handgun and began firing rounds into the vehicle, striking both occupants, police said.

While no motive has been established, investigators believe the suspect may be acquainted with one or both of the victims.

Both Giddens and Beidleman fled the scene on foot, police said.

Because two suspects are still outstanding, the identities of the victims are being withheld at this time.

An arrest warrant has been filed against Giddens for attempted murder charges. His bail is currently set at $2 million.

Beidleman is also wanted on accessory charges.

Both suspects are considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information about this incident or the whereabouts of the two suspects are asked to call Wilshire Area Major Assault Crimes Detectives De'Wana Hubbard, Ronald Cade or Sonny Garcia at (213) 473-0476 or (213) 922-8205.

Anyone wishing to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS (800-222-8477) or text the number 274637 (C-R-I-M-E-S on most keypads) with a cell phone. All text messages should begin with the letters "LAPD." Tipsters may also go to LAPDOnline.org, click on "webtips" and follow the prompts.
