MALIBU (CBSLA.com) — Two deputies that were injured while responding to a disturbance call were released from a hospital on Monday.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, the deputies were sent around 6:45 p.m. Sunday for report of a man throwing bottles in the middle of the Pacific Coast Highway.
Deputies said their patrol car hit a guardrail and overturned near Latigo Canyon Road.
They were airlifted to a hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, officials explained.
The intersection of Kanan Dume and Latigo Canyon roads was subsequently closed while authorities remained on scene to investigate the crash.
