2 Brothers Accused Of Stabbing Man Multiple Times In Simi Valley
SIMI VALLEY (CBSLA.com) — Police announced the arrest of two brothers they say stabbed a man in Simi Valley multiple times early Saturday morning.
Simi Valley Police arrested Fernando and Herbert Alvarenga and accused them of stabbing a 21-year-old man in the 1800 block of Ridgegate Lane.
Police were dispatched to a subjects fighting call just after 1:35 a.m.
Upon arriving, they discovered a victim lying in the apartment complex parking lot.
The victim was bleeding from several stabs wounds in the chest area.
Officials said the man was treated at the scene and transported to a nearby medical facility.
Investigators said the brothers, both residents of Simi Valley, were involved in the incident. The brothers were taken into custody, without incident, on the westbound 118 (Ronald Reagan) Freeway west of Tapo Canyon.
The siblings were booked into Ventura County Jail on suspicion of attempted murder.
The victim's name was not released.
