2 Being Pursued By CHP Killed In Wrong-Way Collision On 60 Freeway
RIVERSIDE (CBS) — Two people being pursued by the California Highway Patrol have died in a wrong-way collision on the Pomona (60) Freeway.
At approximately 10 p.m. Saturday, the CHP attempted to pull over a vehicle that was allegedly speeding and weaving.
According to authorities, the suspect driver exited the freeway at Main Street and ran a red light before reentering the freeway in the wrong direction.
Moments later, the vehicle collided with a pickup truck, killing the suspect driver and passenger inside.
Two people in the pickup truck were transported to an area hospital. Their current conditions were unknown.
