2 Arrested Following Alleged Home Invasion Robbery In Yorba Linda
YORBA LINDA (CBSLA.com) — Two suspects were arrested Saturday following an alleged home invasion robbery in Yorba Linda.
Deputies were dispatched to the 6000 block of Calle Entrada at 6:30 a.m.
Authorities identified a suspicious vehicle with two occupants in the area and determined the vehicle and passengers were related to the home invasion.
Officials arrested the female driver, Ariyana Hearod, 21, of Los Angeles. A male suspect, later identified as Ronald Phillips, 21, of Riverside, fled on foot.
The Sheriff's Department deployed K-9 officers, bloodhounds, tactical personnel and air support in an effort to find Phillips.
Authorities said Phillips was captured and taken into custody.
The alleged home invasion victims were reportedly a man in his mid 70's and a female in her early 60's. The female victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment of moderate injuries and has been released.
Property taken during the robbery was located in bushes near the residence, according to officials.
Officials credit watchful neighbors with the bust. "It all started with neighbors looking out for their neighbors," said Lt. Robert Wren, Chief of Police Services for Yorba Linda. "One phone call got us there. A neighbor knew something wasn't right and he took the initiative to call 911. We took it from there."
