$1K Reward Offered To Find Suspect In Theft Of John Travolta's $100K Mercedes
SANTA MONICA (CBS) — A $1,000 reward is being offered for information that will lead to a suspect in the theft of actor John Travolta's vintage 1970 Mercedes-Benz 280SL convertible.
On Sunday afternoon, Travolta reportedly parked the vehicle -- worth an estimated $100,000 -- in a residential area near a Jaguar dealer in the 3300 block of Olympic Boulevard, according to Santa Monica Police Sgt. Richard Lewis.
After a brief trip to the dealer, the actor realized his car was missing and returned to the dealer to wait for police.
Police arrived on scene at 3:46 p.m.
The car's license plate is 3RBZ737.
