17 Days Later, Police Find Car Of Murdered San Bernardino Woman
SAN BERNARDINO (CBSLA.com) — Police found the car of a San Bernardino woman who was murdered in November.
The body of Mary Elizabeth Blaskey, 76, was discovered by her son, Dirck, on Nov. 14 at a ransacked residence on the 3000 block of Fremontia Drive.
Dirck also reported that his mother's car was missing from where it was usually parked at the front of her home.
Last Saturday, police finally located Blaskey's stolen 2001 Lexus at Mountainside Village Apartments.
"I had thought the car was gone. Arizona, Mexico…just flat gone," Dirck said.
Dirck continued, "There was a lot of adrenaline that went with the phone call (with police). I brought them the key to the car because they wanted to get into the trunk without breaking anything. They have a lot of material from the car and the house and they're working hard on the case."
Dirck said he's still grieving for the mother that was taken away from him.
"She was a really big part of this community. To think that someone that wonderful could die this way… is horrible," he said.
