$15K Reward Offered For Capture Of Bank Robber Dubbed 'Luger Bandit'
RIVERSIDE (CBSLA.com) — A $15,000 reward has been offered by Bank of America and Wells Fargo for information that leads to the capture of a Southern California bank robber dubbed the "Luger Bandit."
The suspect has been involved in at least four robberies, and one attempted incident, at Bank of America, Chase and Wells Fargo branches in Granada Hills, Fontana, San Dimas, Mira Loma and Corona since early 2013, according to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
During each incident, the alleged robber brandishes a weapon that looks like a silver, German-made Luger and forces employees and customers to the floor.
The suspect was described as white or Hispanic, 30 to 40 years old, 5 feet 8 inches to six feet tall and about 200 pounds.
In surveillance photos, he's wearing pullover sweatshirts with hoods and jeans, as well as a face mask, sunglasses and black gloves. The suspect carries a black bag with a strap.
Witnesses said he was driving a charcoal gray BMW 3-Series.
