14 Arrested In Downtown LA Protest On 10th Anniversary Of Afghanistan War
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A protest on the streets of downtown Los Angeles to mark the tenth-year anniversary of the U.S. invasion of Afghanistan ended in the arrests of fourteen people on Friday.
KNX 1070's Pete Demetriou reports hundreds of protesters marched under the banner of the Interfaith Communities United for Justice and Peace.

The protests started at La Placita Church and weaved their way through the downtown area, featuring a series of speeches from clergy, peace activists, and labor leaders condemning the decade-long conflict.
"The lies of the Bush administration led us to war, and the Obama administration should stop the war now!" said one demonstrator.
At the conclusion of the march, clergy members and other protesters interlocked their arms and blocked Los Angeles street in an act of civil disobedience.
LAPD officers arrested 14 people without incident, and then cited and released them on their own recognizance.
